hunter's woes

Primaeva stood upon a hill, her pet wolf nuzzling her desperately as if begging her to take it away from the hell that was the barren Badlands.

Thoughts began to cloud her mind. She had forgotten her purpose here, and did not believe anymore in the mythical creature that she had come to capture. For EIGHT gruelling days, even blessed by the ability to focus upon distant spots, like an eagle, she had taken that same place, monitoring the sands for tracks of this beast. Hoping against hope that luck would smile upon her.

(For 8 days Xiangjun has been waking up at 4 AM to check on this damned cat. 2 of those 8 days it was impossible as one sister was awake. For 8 days Xiangjun has not levelled, and of course the likes of ____, who have the privelege of unhindered access to the internet, and a female masseur, begin to mock XJ for his slowness in levelling (never mind xj probably has 3x as much gold as him at that level))

The wolf sat down, and pointed its cracked snout at the heavens, which held no clouds to shelter the duo. It gave a singular, distressed howl that told of defeat and anguish. The walls of the crags and ridges about them thrummed slightly, as if acknowledging the pain of the creature that had once dwelled in the fissures of their faces. Primaeva bowed her head, and finally reached a decision.

'Screw this,' she said, which was unbecoming of an elf. Packing her gear into her sack, she gave the hill one last angry look, before she jumped off it, and resolutely left the place. Headed north toward Thelsamar, she bowed her head against the fierce winds that were whipping sand into her face. Mere seconds later...

Featuring the Broken Tooth. A hefty 31.2 DPS (my character by itself is only 82 DPS) and not even level 39 yet, it is the sole pet in Azeroth that has a 1.0 Attack Speed. This primarily tears casters apart before they can get their spells off. Also, with a default 145% run speed, it can run down flag carriers almost unconditionally, and when it uses Dash (which it comes already trained with), it will take down any character on a normal mount.

For weeks I've endured insults and watched a hunter go 20 levels while I was stuck at 38. Now, it is I who shall show them who's boss!
